There is something deeply depressing about not being able to fix one's own computer. Somehow, between my weekly Ad-Aware scanning and my careful avoidance of suspicious attachments, my poor work Dell died a painful death.
And to add insult to injury, it happened not once but TWICE. So today, I'm spending my second consecutive workday sans profile. I have no iTunes, no Firefox, no bookmarks, no Yahoo! Messenger. It is me against the world, whereby "world" means "loaner laptop."
And now after a spectacularly busy four weeks (robbery, moving, wedding, sorting insurance, whathaveyou), I am thwarted again. So blame me not for my lack of productivity today. I have no choice but to spend the day on YouTube.
